September is National Cyber Security Awareness Month Featured

September is National Cyber Security Awareness Month ( Proclamation Order No. 2054, s. 2010 ) which is an annual campaign to raise awareness about cybersecurity. As the country continuously moves forward into a world that is more connected than ever before. The computer, smartphone, Internet and other enabled device has become a part of daily life. National Cyber Security Awareness Month is designed to engage and educate government and private sector partners through events and initiatives with the objective of raising the level of awareness about cybersecurity and the importance of resiliency of the country in the event of a cyber attack.

The following are the activities of the PNP  during the month of September spearheaded by PNP ITMS:

  • Conduct of cyber security awareness poster making contest for Crame high school and elementary students.
  • Conduct of PICE to personnel on computer security for PNP NHQ and Regional Offices by ITMS Detailed IT Officers.
  • Distribution of cybersecurity awareness materials to all PNP offices.
