PRO5 Celebrates the 28th PNP Foundation Day Featured

Police Regional Office 5 headed by PCSUPT ATTY ARNEL B ESCOBAL, Regional Director joins the entire PNP organization in the celebration of 28th PNP Foundation Day along with the Flag Raising Ceremony today, February 4, 2019 at the PRO5 Grandstand, Camp BGen Simeon A Ola, Legazpi City with Atty. Anthony C Nuyda, CESO III, Regional Director of DILG Regional Office 5 represented by Atty. Arnaldo E. Escobar, Jr, CESO V, OIC- Asst Regional Director as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.

Atty. Escobar in his message, commended and recognized the accomplishment of PNP in compliance to President Duterte’s Anti-criminality, Anti-terrorism, Anti-illegal drugs and Anti-corruption crimes.

The anniversary is in commemoration of the casing of colors of its forerunner organizations, the Philippine Constabulary and the Integrated National Police, and the official activation of the PNP in 1991 by virtue of the Republic Act 6975 of 1990, the Department of the Interior and Local Government Act of 1990.

This year’s celebration was highlighted with the awarding of deserving PNP personnel. Thus, Medalya ng Kagalingan were given to PSSUPT WILSON C ASUETA, PSUPT EDWIN G ENGAY, PCINSP RONNIE M FABIA, SPO2 Louie T Alcantara, and PO2 Jojo L Monsalve in recognition of their meritorious accomplishment as members of the Regional Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) “BATOCABE”, Albay PPO-Special Investigation Team (SIT) BATOCABE and the CIDG RFU5-Speacila Investigation Team (SIT) “BATOCABE” during the instantaneous and successful investigation in the shooting incident resulting to the death of AKO Bicol Party-list Representative Rodel Batocabe and his security escort SPO2 Orlado S Diaz and the wounding of six others that transpired last December 22, 2018 which resulted in the arrest, surrendering and filing of the case against 1) Carlwyn Go Baldo; 2) Christopher Naval y Cabrera aka Tuping; 3.) Emmanuel Rosello aka “Buboy”, 4) Jaywin Babor aka “Gie” 5) Rolando Arimado aka “Lando/RR”; 6) Danilo Muella aka “Manoy Dan”; and 7) Henry Yuson under NPS Docketed No. V-08-INV-19A-0002 for two counts of murder and multiple murder six counts as defined and penalized under Article 248 (Murder) of the Revised Penal Code before the Provincial Prosecutor of Albay, hall of Justice Brgy Buraguis, Legazpi City and subscribed by Atty. Remiel O. Nubungco. Their high sense of responsibility and dedication to the duty resulted in the delivery of quality service to the community which earned credit not only for themselves but also for the entire Philippine National Police as well.
