The project is inline with the CPNP’s 9-Point Agenda, that shall serve as a supply depot where food and other essentials may be accessed in times of disasters and emergencies.

Also in attendance were Governor Francis Joseph “Chiz” Escudero and other government officials.
“The refurbished camp, with its new facilities, will further boost our personnel's capability and propel us closer towards the transformation we wish to achieve. It will help bring the message of a professional organization to the person which is among those we are continuously striving for.”, RD Bustamante said in his message. In a message read by PBGEN BUSTAMANTE, the CPNP extended his thanks to the local officials especially Governor Escudero for their constant support to the PNP’s efforts. Governor Escudero was instrumental in pushing the construction of the new building.
Congressman Evelina “Nanay Evie” G Escudero of the 1st District of Sorsogon and Mayor Ester E Hamor gave their respective pledges and words of commitment during the program. Meanwhile, Governor Escudero post a challenge to the men and women of Police Kasanggayahan, “Simple lang ang aking kahilingan sa ating kapulisan, bagong building, bago din dapat at pinagibayong lakas na pagsilbihan ang mga taga Sorsogon. Moderno at makabagong building, moderno at makabagong pamamaraan din sana ang inyong gamitin pamamaraan para matiyak ang seguridad at kaligtasan ng mga Sorsoganon. Maganda building, magandang serbisyo din sana ang isukli sa lalawigan ng Sorsogon.”
In his acceptance speech, PCOL ARTURO P BRUAL JR, Provincial Director of Sorsogon PPO made his commitment to continue to deliver excellent service to people of the province of Sorsogon.

During the activity, RD BUSTAMANTE administered the oath-taking of PLTCOL JULIUS DANAO GUADAMOR, Force Commander of Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) 5 together with his family.
Further, the activity also includes the awarding of medals to deserving PNP personnel for their contributions and extra efforts towards the attainment of a safer and more peaceful community.

This notable accomplishment manifests their unwavering commitment to duty that contributed to the low affectation rate of the spread of COVID-19 among personnel of the PNP in the Bicol Region which is worthy of emulation by his peers in the organization.

Camp BGen Simeon A Ola, Legazpi City--- A total of 43 PNP personnel of Police Regional Office 5 are finally set to return to their residence and nearest localities as benefactors of localization of assignment program of the Chief, PNP.
Of the number, 11 personnel will be reassigned in PRO1; 2 in PRO2; 6 in PRO4A; 4 in PRO4B; 3 in PRO6; 5 in PRO7; 7 in PRO8; 2 in PRO10; 1 in NCR; 1 in PROCOR; and 1 in PRO13.
Held today, October 14, 2020, is the simultaneous send-off ceremony which was attended by PBGEN BARTOLOME R BUSTAMANTE, Regional Director, the Command Group, Directorial Staff and other personnel via distance telecommunication.
The Localization of Assignment program of the PNP is based on Section 63 of Republic Act 8551 or the Philippine National Police Reform and Reorganization Act of 1998 wherein the law indicates that PNP members with the ranks of Patrolman/woman up to Police Executive Master Sergeant will be “assigned to the city and municipality of their recruitment and/or place of residence or if not possible, to the closest municipality, province or regions to his residence.”
This program aims to attain maximum efficiency in the course of performing their law enforcement duties thus, in one way or another also giving priority to the morale and welfare of the personnel with the end goal of reinforcing family solidarity.
Further, some of the advantage of this move is the familiarization of personnel with the people, the culture, terrain, and other conditions prevailing threat thus, providing them the sense of ownership of the locality that they are representing. Indeed, if personnel are well aware of its surroundings he/she will be able to perform its functions meritoriously.

Police Regional Office 5 headed by PBGEN BART R BUSTAMANTE, Regional Director, through the Regional Community Affairs and Development Division (RCADD) formally opens the 4-day Virtual Training via Zoom on the Retooled Community Support Program’s Counter-White Area Operations.
The RCSP is part of the programs of the government which aims to address the identified issues from community by closing the governance and development gaps, providing the community their needs, and ensuring that development is sustained and peace is promoted by using the “Whole-of-Nation Approach” as indicated under Executive Order 70 duly signed by President Duterte.
Highlight of the activity is the lecture given by RD BUSTAMANTE pertaining to the heart of policing using the police community relations strategy of the PNP that enjoin the community and various sectors in the attainment of a safer and more peaceful community to live, work and do business.
The training is participated by personnel from RMFB5, PPOs/CPO-PHQ, PMFC of Six PPOs, CMFC of NCPO and Legazpi CPS which is set to run until October 15, 2020.
