On February 22, 2017 at about 4:30 PM, personnel of Talisay Municipal Police Station (MPS) were able to arrest the three (3) persons namely: Ronald Abejero y Nuete, 45, married, farmer/chainsaw operator, resident of Purok 3, Brgy. Awitan, Daet, Camarines Norte; Domingo Valencia y Aurelia, 45, married, pedicab driver, resident of Purok 2, Brgy San Fransisco, Talisay, Camarines Norte; and Renato Florendo y Orendain, 54, married, jobless, resident of Purok 6, Brgy San Fransisco, Talisay, Camarines Norte while on the act of cutting Indian Mango (Pajo) tree at Purok 4, Barangay San Francisco, Talisay, Camarines Norte.

Investigation conducted by Talisay MPS disclosed that the cutting of tree of the aforementioned suspects has no necessary permit from Department of Environment and Natural Resources. Confiscated from the suspects are the following: five (5) pcs. 2x12x12; three (3) pcs. 2x12x4; one (1) pc. 1x12x7; one (1) pc. 2x6x12; one (1) pc. 8x12x4; one (1) pc. 1x9x6; one (1) unit of STIHL chainsaw; three (3) pcs. bolo; and rope.

Violation of RA 10593

Polangui MPS continue to hit hard on all forms of illegal activities, at about 10:30 AM of February 22, 2017 (Wednesday), while PO3 Alexander M Oliquino and PO1 Jessie James B Manga, both of Polangui MPS were conducting intelligence monitoring at Brgy. La Purisima, Polangui, Albay they received information from a concerned motorist that there were persons cutting coconut trees at said place.

Upon receipt of the report, said policemen immediately responded that resulted in the arrest of Michael Pelaez y Pineda, 20 years old, single; Vicente Pelaez Jr y Perez, 28 years old, single; Jessie Anthony Almeyda y Aragon, 31 years old, married; all residents of Brgy. Malusak, Atimonan, Quezon; Bhernie Recto y Munda, 21 years old, single, a resident of Brgy. Balaba, Polangui, Albay; and Jonald Inal y Trinidad, 29 years old, single, and a resident of Anaclagan, Atimonan, Quezon while cutting coconuts trees without permits from PCA.

Confiscated from the suspects possessions were four (4) pieces chainsaw with Serial Numbers 118059270, 123719853, 119258371 and 126853105, respectively and undetermined volume of coco lumber in different dimensions. Arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were placed under the custody of said police station for proper disposition.

Labo Police Recovers Stolen Motorcycle

A black and white Honda motorcycle with plate number EC51796, owned by Norman Bamiano y Panol, 43 years old, with live-in partner, welder and a resident of Purok 2, Barangay Bulhao, Labo, Camarines Norte was reported motornapped by suspects: Konoy Idanan y De Jesus, 19, single, self-employed and a resident of Purok 1, Barangay Malasugui, Labo, Camarines Norte; and one (1) John Doe on February 21, 2017 at about 1:00 AM at Sitio Contod, Barangay Guinacutan, Vinzons, Camarines Norte.

Investigation conducted by Vinzons Municipal Police Station (MPS) disclosed that while the victim was driving his said motorcycle along Guinacutan Road, from Sitio Minaogan, Barangay Calangcawan Norte, Vinzons to Labo all of this province with the suspects as his back riders. Upon reaching the place of incident, the suspects requested to stop to urinate. The suspect Konoy Idanan picked-up big stones and ordered the victim to unload from his driven motorcycle while the other unknown suspect grabbed the key of his motorcycle. Before leaving the place, the suspect forcibly took the victim’s money placed infront of the pocket of the victim’s long sleeve worth Php 850.00 together with the victim’s motorcycle and fled towards downtown Labo, Camarines Norte.

Personnel of Vinzons MPS conducted follow-up investigation and coordination with nearby police station for the apprehension of the suspects and for possible recovery of the looted items.

At about 8:30 PM of February 21, 2017, personnel of Labo MPS recovered the aforesaid stolen motorcycle at Spanish road, Barangay Malasugui, Labo, Camarines Norte. Recovered motorcycle was turned over to Vinzons MPS and now preparing an appropriate case against the suspect.

Arrest of Two Illegal Loggers

An operator and his helper were arrested by joint elements of Daraga MPS led by PSINSP RICHELLE M BALUTE and 2nd Maneuver Platoon APPSC based at Brgy. Bascaran, Daraga, Albay, at about 3:00 PM of February 21, 2017 (Tuesday), at Purok-5, Brgy. Malabog, Daraga, Albay.

In a report given to PSSUPT ANTONINO R CIRUJALES, Provincial Director, identified the arrested suspect as Edwin Lovendino Jr. y Manrique (chainsaw operator), 26 years old, single and Gerry Cuaris y Rico (helper), 19 years old, single, both residents of Brgy. Salvacion, Daraga, Albay while actually cutting of Pili tree and coconut trees without necessary permit from concerned agencies.

Confiscated from the place of incident were 186 board feet of coconut lumber, 84 board feet of "Pili" tree in different dimensions, and one (1) unit white/orange "Stihl" chainsaw.

Subject arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were placed under the custody of said police station for filing of appropriate case against them in court.

Violation of PD 1602

Sto Domingo MPS on campaign against illegal gambling arrest of Dolores Abellano y Alondra, 54 years old; Meriam Alondra y Nuñez, 50 years old; and Maura Galvan y Torreon, 50 years old, all married, and residents of Purok-4, of aforesaid barangay while actually engaging in illegal gambling, locally known as “Tong its”, at about 3:15 PM of February 21, 2017 (Tuesday), at Purok-6, Brgy. Lidong, Sto. Domingo, Albay.

Confiscated from the place of incident were one (1) set of playing card, and bet money amounting to Php 154.00 in different denominations.

Subject arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were placed under the custody of said police station for filing of appropriate case against them in court.

Illegal Gamblers Arrested

Camalig MPS on campaign against illegal gambling arrested three persons at about 4:10 PM of February 21, 2017 (Tuesday), at Goodfound Cement Corp.(GCC), Brgy. Palanog, Camalig, Albay, particularly at the Trailer Truck Parking area, joint elements of Camalig MPS led by PO3 Adrian A Buenaobra and 2nd Maneuver Platoon APPSC led by PO3 Miljun Caabay, arrested Orly Nuyles y Sallan, 34 years old, single, and a resident of Brgy Bariw, Camalig, Albay; Marcial Labayo y Santonia, 41 years old, married; and Edwin Nopre y Placer, 54 years old, married, GCC employee, both residents of Brgy. Palanog, Camalig, Albay, and all employees of aforesaid corporation while actually engaging in illegal gambling, locally known as “Tong its”.

Confiscated from the place of incident were one (1) set of playing card, one (1) wooden table and three (3) monoblock chairs, and bet money amounting to Php 810.00 in different denominations.

Subject arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were placed under the custody of said police station for filing of appropriate case.

On February 21, 2017 (Tuesday), at about 3:00 PM of, personnel of Legazpi CPS responded to information from a concerned citizen that illegal gambling transpired at Brgy. Puro, Legazpi City that resulted in the arrest of Joel Bingayen y Villano, 46 years old, married; Rolly Almencion y Grafia, 35 years old, married, both residents of P-5, of aforesaid barangay; and Josephine Colle y Briones, 48 years old, widow, and a resident of Brgy. 57, Dap-Dap, Legazpi City while actually engaging in illegal gambling, locally known as “Tong its”.

Confiscated from the place of incident were one (1) set playing card, cash money amounting to Php281.00 in different denominations, three (3) pieces monobloc chairs, and one (1) piece square wooden table.

Then, at about 3:15 PM of February 21, 2017 (Tuesday), personnel of Legazpi CPS responded to information from a concerned citizen that illegal gambling transpired at Purok 2, Brgy. San Roque, Legazpi City that resulted in the arrest of Joven Orlain y Alcoy, 32 years old, single; Rodolfo Ibay y Aguilar, 44 years old, married, and a resident of P-2, Brgy.32, San Roque, Legazpi City and Glen Roche y Coronel, 44 years old, single; all residents of P-2, Brgy. 32, San Roque, Legazpi City while actually engaging in illegal gambling, locally known as “Tong its”.

Confiscated from the place of incident were one (1) set playing card, cash money amounting to Php385.00 in different denominations, three (3) pieces monobloc chair, and one (1) piece square wooden table.

Arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were placed under the custody of said police station for filing of appropriate case against them in court.

Sixteen illegal gamblers collared by Ligao City Police Station after intensified campaign on illegal gambling in different operations.
In a report submitted to PSSUPT ANTONINO R CIRUJALES, Provincial Director, the police operation conducted were: at about 1:20 PM of February 21, 2017 (Tuesday), at Brgy. Tastas, Ligao City, joint elements of Ligao CPS led by SPO1 Willy Regondola and 2nd Maneuver Platoon APPSC led by PO3 Erbin B. Biago, arrested Joe Dayandante y Perillo, 36 years old, married; and Gina Aragon, Lopez, 42 years old; both residents of aforesaid place while actually engaging in illegal gambling, locally known as “Tong-Its”.

Confiscated from the place of incident were one (1) set of playing card, one (1) Php20.00, fifteen (15) pieces of corn seed.
At about 5:00 PM of same date, aforesaid police station filed an Inquest Case for Violation of PD 1602 against the suspects before the Ligao City Prosecutor's Office docketed under IS No. ¬¬¬¬¬¬V-03-INQ-017B-00018 duly subscribed by Atty. Ma. Czarina S. Lanuzo, Associate City Prosecutor II.

Then, at about 2:40 PM of February 21, 2017 (Tuesday), at Brgy. Ranao-Ranao, Ligao City, joint elements of Ligao CPS led by SPO1 Willy Regondola and 2nd Maneuver Platoon APPSC led by PO3 Erbin B. Biago, arrested Cesar Evan Perillo y Purpura, 20 years old; Mark Stephen Perillo y Revilla, 19 years old; Aljune Sarra y Sequitin, 21 years old; Lorenzo Patanao y Abo, 21 years old; and Jayson Sequitin, 20 years old; all single and residents of aforesaid place while actually engaging in illegal gambling, locally known as “Lucky 9”. Confiscated from the place of incident were one (1) set of playing card, two (2) Php10.00 coins, six (6) Php5.00 coins, and eight (8) Php1.00 coins.

At about 6:00 PM of same date, aforesaid police station filed an Inquest Case for Violation of PD 1602 against the suspects before the Ligao City Prosecutor's Office docketed under IS No.V03-INQ-017B-00019 duly subscribed by Atty. Ma. Czarina S. Lanuzo, Associate City Prosecutor II. Jayson Sequitin was released from the custody of Ligao CPS after finding insufficient proof that said person participated in said illegal gambling activity.

After which, at about 3:35 PM of February 21, 2017 (Tuesday), at Brgy. Pandan, Ligao City, joint elements of Ligao CPS led by SPO1 Willy Regondola and 2nd Maneuver Platoon APPSC led by PO3 Erbin B. Biago, arrested Edwin Floranza y Quililan, 50 years old; Arnel Pioquinto y Tonog, 36 years old; Roberto Delos Poyos y Sorbano, 36 years old; Wilma Calmante y Calopez, 49 years old; Recardo Lanugon y Ferrer, 54 years old; and Domingo Robusa y Armero, 55 year old; all married and residents of aforesaid place while actually engaging in illegal gambling, locally known as “Tong-Its”.

Confiscated from the place of incident were two (2) sets playing card, one (1) Php100.00, four (4) Php20.00 bills, eleven (11) Php5.00 coins, eight (8) Php1.00 coins.

At about 7:00 PM of same date, aforesaid police station filed an Inquest Case for Violation of PD1602 against the suspects before the Ligao City Prosecutor’s Office docketed under IS No. ¬¬¬¬¬¬V-03-INQ-017B-00020 duly subscribed by Atty. Ma. Czarina S. Lanuzo, Associate City Prosecutor II.

And, at about 5:40 PM of February 21, 2017 (Tuesday), at Purok-6, Brgy. Tuburan, Ligao, City, joint elements of Ligao CPS led by SPO1 Willy L Regondola and APPSC led by PO3 Ervin Biago, arrested Hilda Panteria y Quipid, 49 years old, widow, and a resident of Brgy. Guilid; Norlito Quiped y Borbe, 40 years old, married, and a resident of Purok-7, Brgy. Basag; and Ruel Tayoyo y Plopino, 33 years old, married, and a resident of Purok-6, Brgy. Tuburan; all in Ligao City while actually engaging in illegal gambling, locally known as “Tong its”.

Confiscated from the place of incident were one (1) set of playing card, seven (7) pieces stone used as marker, and bet money amounting to Php74.00 in different denominations.

On same date, Ligao CPS filed an Inquest case for Violation of PD 1602 against the suspects before the City Prosecutors Office, Ligao City, duly subscribed by Associate Prosecutor II Ma. Czarina S. Lanuzo docketed under IS No. V-03-INQ-17B-00021. Accused remained under the custody of said police station pending issuance of commitment order.

Subject arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were placed under the custody of said police station for filing of appropriate case against them in court.

Bayawas, all in Donsol, Sorsogon while actually engaging in illegal gambling, locally known as “Tong its”. Confiscated from the place of incident were one (1) set of playing card and bet money amounting to Php59.00 in different denominations.

Subsequently, at about 3:25 PM of February 21, 2017 (Tuesday), at Purok-1, Brgy. Ilawod, Daraga, Albay, joint elements of Daraga MPS led by PSINSP RICHELLE M BALUTE and 2nd Maneuver Platoon APPSC based at Brgy. Bascaran, Daraga, Albay, arrested Norman Lleva, 54 years old, married, jitney driver and a resident of Centro Gapo; Reynaldo Floranza y Evangelista, 52 years old, married, and a resident of Purok-1, Sipi, both in Daraga, Albay; and Raul Mancanes y Marbella, 38 years old, married, jitney driver, and a resident of Brgy. Imalnod, Legazpi City while actually engaging in illegal gambling, locally known as “Tong its”. Confiscated from the place of incident were one (1) set of playing card and bet money amounting to Php92.00 in different denominations.

Arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were placed under the custody of said police station for filing of appropriate case against them in court.

Four Persons Nabbed for Illegal Gambling

Joint elements of CIDT-Albay led by PCINSP ROLAND A CULIAO; Guinobatan MPS led by PCINSP MA. CECILIA R ZUÑIGA, Albay PPSC, RIU5 and RID5, conducted anti-illegal gambling operation for Violation of RA 9287 (Illegal Numbers Game), that resulted in the arrest of the following persons namely: Joseph Sia y Palenzuela, 36 years old, married, and a resident of Brgy. Muladbucad Pequeño; Luis Pladero Jr y Novelo, 41 years old, single; Dante Llenaresas y Ope, 62 years old, married; both residents of Bgy. Inamnan Grande; and Alwyn Ponteñoza y Calde, 34 years old, married, and a resident of Sitio Kangao, Brgy. Quitago; all in Guinobatan, Albay while actually engaging in illegal numbers game (Bookies), at about 4:20 PM of February 21, 2017 (Tuesday), at Brgy. Inamnan Grande, Guinobatan, Albay.

Confiscated were from six (6) pieces “papelitos” with written number combinations, money bets amounting to Php499.50, and one (1) piece black ball pen from Joseph Sia; one (1) piece “papelitos” with number combinations, one (1) piece black ball pen, money bet amounting to Php338.00 in different denomination; from Luis Pladero Jr.; one (1) piece “papelitos” with number combinations, one (1) piece black ball pen, money bet amounting to Php256.00 in different denominations from Dante Llenaresas; and one (1) piece “papelitos” with number combinations one (1) piece black ball pen, money bet amounting to Php60.00 in different denominations from Alwyn Ponteñosa.

Arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were placed under the custody of CIDT-Albay for filing of appropriate case against them in court.
