hree persons were caught by police officer while sniffing marijuana at Brgy. Siramag (Poblacion), Balatan, Camarines Sur on January 1, 2017 at 3:10 AM.
The police identified the three arrested persons as Jimmy Sapinoso y Magana, 23 years old, single, a resident of Zone-6, Brgy Duran, Balatan, Camarines Sur; Joebert Borja y Saliente, 21 years old, single, a resident of Zone-1, Brgy Siramag, Balatan, Camarines Sur; and Jafet Geraldez y Coyoca. 20 years old, single, a resident of Zone-7, Brgy Siramag, Balatan, Camarines Sur.
According to the report, PO3 Ritchie L Doctolero and Brgy Kgwd Sergio Rosacay apprehended the three persons who were caught in the act using and sniffing marijuana dried leaves that was placed in one (1) piece of glass tube locally known as “PIPA”.
When their body were searched, PO3 Doctolero in the presence of said barangay official, they found from Jafet Geraldez one (1) small pouch, containing dried marijuana leaves wrapped with paper.
The suspects and the confiscated items were brought to Balatan MPS for proper disposition.
Dennis Rey Imperial y Asaytuno, aka "Dennise", 29 years old, with common-law wife, a resident of P-6, Barriada, Brgy. Gogon, Legazpi City was arrested at his residence on December 30, 2016 at about 5:00 PM.
According to the report, the accused was arrested by personnel of Legazpi CPS composed of SPO2 Marilito Watiwat, PO2 Victor Esquivel, PO2 Carlo Lana, PO2 Archie Marco and PO2 Lourdez Nocedo, under the supervision of PSUPT NILO S BERDIN JR., OIC by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon. Ruben C. Caretas, Presiding Judge, RTC Br. 9, Legazpi City dated August 17, 2009 for Failure to Attend Hearing wherein the accused has been charged for Robbery docketed under CC# No. FC-00-984 with no bail required.
However, during arrest, said personnel recovered from the accused actual possession and control one (1) piece white bowl containing white crystalline substance suspected to be "shabu"; three (3) pieces opened transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be "shabu"; one (1) piece blade; two (2) disposable lighters; and a suspected marijuana leaves and seeds wrapped in a piece of newspaper.
Based on Chemistry Report No. D-779-2016 issued by RCLO5, Camp Gen. Simeon A. Ola, Legazpi City, the submitted drug items yielded negative result for the presence of Methamphetamine Hydrochloride but positive results for the presence of Marijuana containing 0.283 grams of dried plant material.
On December 31, 2016, Legazpi CPS filed an Inquest case for Violation of section 11, Article II of RA 9165 against the suspect/accused before City Prosecutor's Office, Legazpi City, docketed under NPS No. V-02-INQ-16L-00175, duly subscribed by ACP Guiancarlo S. Bulalacao with bail recommended fixed at Php200, 000.00.
Accused is presently under the custody Legazpi CPS pending issuance of commitment order.

Ruben Rosel y Paningbatan, 22 years old, single, laborer and a resident of Sitio Bel-is, Barangay Capaculan, Milagros, Masbate was arrested on December 29, 2016 at 4 AM at said barangay by element of Milagros MPS led by PINSP ANGELIAN GULAPAN, DCOP, by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Hon. Manuel L Sese of RTC Br. 45, Masbate City, for the crime of Frustrated Murder under Criminal Case No. 17482 with fixed bail recommended at Two Hundred Thousand Pesos (Php 200,000.00).
Arrested person is now under the custody of Milagros MPS for proper disposition.
On Tuesday, December 28, 2016 at about 5:55 AM, elements of Guinobatan MPS implemented a search warrant, with number 16-27 dated December 20, 2016, against Vicente Nosares y Nabor, 36 y/o and one of the priority targets in the drug watchlist of the said police station.
The implementation resulted to the recovery of the following items:
a. One (1) small black bag containing two (2) aluminum foil strips;
b. Five (5) empty plastic sachets;
c. Two (2) stainless scissors;
d. Five (5) small bamboo sticks (separator for repacking shabu);
e. One (1) pc playing card;
f. One (1) improvised glass tooter and;
g. Transparent plastic box.
Recovered inside the said transparent plastic box are the following:
a. Three (3) rolled aluminum foil strips;
b. One (1) disposable lighter;
c. One (1) small bamboo strip (separator for shabu);
d. One (1) used white candle;
e. One (1) digital weighing scale;
f. One (1) dorco stainless blade and;
g. Two (2) small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu.
The inventory of the said recovered items are still ongoing.
Pioduran MPS arrested the suspect for Attempted Homicide at about 4:30 PM, Tuesday, December 27, 2016 transpired at Brgy. 3 Pioduran, Albay. Wherein the victim is Jojiet Sambajon y Ibañez, 39 y/o, married and a resident of Brgy. Buenavista Pioduran, Albay, while on board a single motorcycle. The suspect namely, Henry Cervantes 19 y/o, single and a resident of Brgy. Buenavista Pioduran, attempted to stab the victim with the use of a bladed weapon.
The suspect was arrested and brought under the custody of the said police station for proper disposition.
Personnel of Daet Municipal Police Station (MPS) arrested Elmer Efa y Abarca alias “Ato”, 33, single, jobless and resident of Purok 9, Brgy. IV (Mantagabak) Daet, Camarines Norte on December 26, 2016 at about 2:00 PM at Daet Elevated Town Plaza, Brgy VI, Daet, Camarines Norte.
Efa was apprehended by virtue of warrant of arrest issued on October 7, 2016 by Judge Winston S. Racoma of Regional Trial Court Branch 39, Daet, Camarines Norte for Theft, docketed under criminal case number 15913 for the service of warrant imposed on him.
Arrested person is now under the custody of Daet MPS for proper disposition.
Garrie Llena y Madrido, 39 y/o, Real Estate Agent, single, and a resident of F.O. Balce St., Brgy. Poblacion 2, Vinzon, Camarines Norte submitted himself on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at about 12:20 AM at Basud MPS, Basud, Camarines Norte.
The accused voluntarily surrendered to Basud MPS by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for Reckless Imprudence Resulting in Homicide, issued by Hon. Judge Victoria C. Dino-Reyes, MTC of Basud, Camarines Norte, dated December 1, 2016, docketed under CC# 3199 with bail recommended of Ph30,000.00.
The subject person is now under the custody of said MPS for proper disposition.
A newly identified drug personality was arrestd in buy-bust operation conducted by elements of Irosin MPS in coordination with PDEA on December 19,2016 around 2:15 PM at Brgy. Salvacion,Irosin Sorsogon was arrested after selling/deliver and handed over to Police poseur buyer.
According to PCINSP EDWIN CORONA ADORA, COP Irosin MPS said the suspect Airiz Magpayo Bermas, 22 years old, single, jobless and a resident of Brgy. San Isidro, Irosin, Sorsogon was arrested after selling to a police poseur buyer one (1) heat sealed of transparent plastic sachet containing of white crystalline substance suspected to be methamphetamine hydrochloride commonly known as shabu in exchange of a five hundred (Php500) peso bill.
He further says that Ensuing lawful search conducted to the suspect in the presence required witnesses such as Brgy. Kagawad Carlos B Orbina of Brgy Salvacion, Irosin, Sorsogon, Rolando E Narvadez of Radio Natin FM that resulted in the recovery of the evidence And it was duly informed of her constitutional rights under Miranda doctrine and same was brought to Irosin MPS for booking, documentation and proper disposition.
The recovered drugs evidence will be submitted to Crime Laboratory Office for examination. A case for Violation of R.A. 9165 is being prepared for filing in court.
Jeboy Nicolas y Glee, 27 years old, single, fish vendor, and a resident of Brgy. Obrero, Bulan, Sorsogon was apprehended for possession of prohibited drug by the police operatives.
The joint elements of Bulan Municipal Police Station led by PINSP FERNANDO G MANAYOD, CIDT Sorsogon led by SPO1 Santos Jose Mora, PIB-PAID Sorsogon PPO led by PO3 Jose B Caspe, Regional Public Safety Battalion (5RPSB) led by PO2 Lito A. Panis Jr; SPPSC 2nd Maneuver Platoon, Matnog MPS, Sorsogon PPO led by PO3 Leo Betavara and Regional Maritime Unit 5(RMU5) led by SPO1 Ruel C Renolayan in coordination with the PDEA5 conducted search at the residence/premises of the suspect who was ranked No.4 in Drug Watchlist personality of Bulan MPS by virtue of Search Warrant No. 2016-12-03 for Violation of Section 11, Article II of RA 9165, issued and signed by Hon. Bernardo R. Jimenez, Jr., Executive Judge of RTC Branch 54, Gubat, Sorsogon, which resulted in the recovery and confiscation of one (1) big transparent plastic sachet placed on the carton box containing twelve (12) pieces of heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be Methamphetamine Hydrochloride commonly known as “SHABU”.
The search was conducted in the presence of the suspect and required witnesses namely Maricel M. Jercey and Herculano Teope Tabuso, Media Representatives; Brgy. Chairman Celso G. Morata, and Councilor Sherley G. Miranda.
ACTION TAKEN: Seized/confiscated pieces of evidence were properly marked in the presence of above-mentioned witnesses.
The suspect was brought to Bulan MPS for documentation together with the recovered pieces of evidence, and subsequently turned-over to the custody of CIDG Sorsogon for the return of Search Warrant in the court of origin. The pieces of evidence were brought to the Provincial Crime.
Camp Gen Simeon A Ola, Legazpi City. With the relentless efforts of Police Regional Office 5 on Project Double Barrel Alpha to fully eradicate the proliferation of the illegal drugs in the region with the active partnership and support with its stakeholders, Punong Barangay of Sugod, Tiwi, Albay turned-over MOL 18 bricks of suspected cocaine to Bicol PNP.
Investigation disclosed that on December 18, 2016 (Sunday), 10:30 A.M. two (2) fishermen while on board a motorized banca found floating offshore a netfull of brick like items wrapped with brown packaging tape. Thereafter, the fishermen namely Manuel Comota and Razel Bragais, informed PB Teresita Cericos on their recovered items.
The personnel of Tiwi MPS led by PSINSP JAN KING S CALIPAY after verification of said report, immediately responded and proceeded to the said barangay. Then and there PB Cericos properly turned-over the recovered illegal drugs. Afterwhich, PSINSP CALIPAY accompanied PB Cericos and the fishermen to PSSUPT ANTONINO CIRUJALES, PD APPO, for subsequent turn-over of the recovered items to PCSUPT MELVIN RAMON G BUENAFE, RD, PRO5.
A press conference with the local media was immediately called upon by the Bicol PNP. The said items is now in the custody of the Regional Crime Laboratory Office 5 for laboratory examination.
PCSUPT BUENAFE,expresses its gratefulness to the fishermen and PB Cericos on their courageous actions in response to the PNP's campaign against illegal drugs. He further encourages everyone to continuously support their local policemen. ###
Bicol Region Against Drugs (BRAD)
On Tuesday, December 13, 2016, 12:30 AM at the seawaters of Brgy. Guincaiptan, Mandaon, Masbate,with the distance of more or less 13.86 kilometers from the shoreline of the said place, a concerned citizen reported to Mandaon MPS that there was a fishing vessel anchored at the aforesaid place believed to be engaged in illegal fishing activity.
PNP personnel of Mandaon MPS led by PO3 Angelico B Andazo proceeded at the reported place that resulted in the interception of one (1) fishing vessel and the apprehension of its crews namely:
a. Salvador Obiodos, 45, married, boat owner and a resident of Balud, Masbate;
b. Edwin Julia y Desales, 43, married, boat captain, resident of Estancia, Ilo-ilo;
c. Rico Bangis y Militar, 43, married, fisherman, of Estancia, Ilo-ilo;
d. Ryan Buayan y Agdon, 28, married, fisherman, resident of Carles, Ilo-ilo;
e. Ricky Beliones y Aretanio, 43, single, fisherman, of Carles, Ilo-ilo;
f. Rizal Dela Cruz y Atate, 45, married, resident of Calumpang Balud, Masbate;
g. Jenny Apwis y Sangutan, 36, married, fisherman, resident of Estancia, Ilo-ilo;
h. Regie Gabrino, 30, single, fisherman, resident of Estancia Ilo-ilo;
i. Ernesto Tidoso y Jeltendes, 46, married, resident of Estancia Ilo-ilo;
j. Reby Vebanges y Bunog, 22, married, a resident of Carles Ilo-ilo; and
k. Raul Buhayan y Daes, 41 years old, married and a resident of Carles, Ilo-ilo
for the Violation of RA 8550
Likewise the operatives were able to intercepts and confiscated the following items:
1.) One (1) unit of Fishing vessel (F/B KIM) with active gear;
2.) Fine mesh net;
3.) Tom weight with tubs of catch fishes locally known as Lagaw, Matambaka, Buraw, Salmunete and Bilongbilong placed inside the storage room; and other fishing paraphernalia.
Suspects were detained at the Custodial Facility of Mandaon MPS and the recovered pieces of evidences were also brought at Mandaon MPS for proper disposition. An appropriate case is now being prepared by Mandaon MPS for filing before the Masbate City Prosecutor’s Office in due time.
On December 12,2016 at 9:00am, Generoso Jesoro De Jesus, 47 years old, married, resident of Brgy.Piot,Sorsogon City was arrested.
Joint Personnel of CIDT-Sorsogon and Sorsogon CPS, arrested the accused by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon. Michael A Balmaceda, Presiding Judge of MTCC, Branch 1, Sorsogon City, for Threat under Criminal Case No.16-1292 and Other Light Threats with Criminal Case No.16-1291, both dated June 13,2016 with bail recommended Php2,000.00 each.
The subject person is presently under the custody of said MPS for proper disposition.
On December 12,2016 at 1:00pm, Bernabe Gigante y Barro,57 years old, married, farmer and a resident of Sitio Catindoy, Brgy. Iniwanran, San Pascual, Masbate was arrested for Violation of PD 705 known as the Revised Forestry Code of the Philippines.
Personnel of San Pascual MPS arrested the accused by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon. Maximino R Ables, Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 47, Masbate City under Criminal Case No.18110 with bail recommended Php 40,000.00.
