The Traditional Monday Flag Raising Ceremony of Police Regional Office 5 marks another week of commitment and self-dedication police service of the men and women of the Kasurog Cops. PSSUPT WINSTON DE BELEN, Chief, Regional Highway Patrol Unit 5, graced the Monday Flag Raising Ceremony as the resource speaker today, November 5, 2018 held at the PRO5 Multi-Purpose Building, Camp BGen Simeon A Ola, Legaspi City.

The activity highlights the recognition and awarding of medals to deserving PNP personnel for their operational accomplishment in the intensified campaign against illegal drugs. PCSUPT ATTY ARNEL B ESCOBAL, Regional Director assisted by the resource speaker and the command group awarded Medalya ng Kagalingan (PNP Merit Medal) to PSINSP KENNY L TANTIADO, COP, Camalig MPS, SPO1 Allan Paul R Sodsod, PO3 Marian Jess T Rico, PO3 Ryan Capile, and PO2 Laurel L Bancoro in recognition of their meritorious accomplishment as team leader and members of the joint operating team of Camalig MPS, Rapu-Rapu MPS, Legazpi CPS and PIB of Albay PPO for the buy-bust operation conducted at around 11:20 PM of September 10, 2018 at Brgy. Bongabong, Camalig, Albay that resulted in the neutralization of Romeo M Morco and the confiscation of one caliber 5.56 mm revolver loaded with six live ammunition and 0.796 gram of Methamphetamine Hydrochloride commonly known as “Shabu”. Their sterling performance and diligent efforts contributed in the PNP Anti-Illegal Drugs Campaign Plan “Project Double Barrel: Reloaded”, thus earning credit not only for themselves and their unit but for the entire Philippine National Police. At the same time, certificate of recognition was given to FO1 Sheena B Llamoso and FO1 Janine S Nata, both from BFP Virac Catanduanes, for their invaluable service rendered to PRO5 for the virtue of honesty and recognition of her remarkable deed of returning to the rightful owner thru Legazpi CPS a coin purse containing important documents an cash amounting to Php 17,050.00 at about 10:20 AM, November 1, 2018 in front of LCC Mall Main Entrance, Barangay Dinagaan, Legazpi City. The same certificate was given to Martin Llamoso in recognition of his remarkable deed of returning to the rightful owner thru Legazpi CPS the wallet containing five hundred forty pesos cash, with voter’s ID and different foreign currency found at the vicinity of Pawa Public Cemetery, Brgy Pawa, Legazpi City on November 1, 2018 at 9:00 PM. Likewise, certificate of appreciation was accorded to PSSUPT WINSTON MOLINA DE BELEN, in grateful and sincere appreciation of his invaluable presence, words of wisdom and encouragement as Resource Speaker during the Monday Flag Raising Ceremony, thereby cultivating the zeal and fervor of PNP personnel towards a positive mindset in facing the challenges of the police service.
