Highlight of the activity is the MOA signing between PRO5 headed by PBGEN JONNEL C ESTOMO, Regional Director, who was represented by PBGEN RAUL L BARGAMENTO, DRDA, and Greenhills Christian Fellowship-Legazpi represented by REV. RICO M. GELIT.
The MOA aims to forge stronger partnership of the PNP and GCF in becoming instruments to transform and engender the members of the PNP Bicol with sound moral and spiritual values that is worthy of the trust and confidence of the community.
PRO5 also launched its new initiative dubbed as “Pahayag ng Panginoon: A worship with Kasurog Cops”, which intends to address the mental and psychological well-being of the personnel amidst the prevalence of COVID-19 pandemic. This also desires to strengthen the faith and family ties of every personnel.
Furthermore, the program also paved the way to give due recognition to deserving PNP personnel for their outstanding performance and extra effort that aided the organization on pursuing its mission. The Medalya ng Kagalingan was accorded to PMAJ ALEXANDER B TENORIO; PSMS Geoffrey F Ruz; PSMS August T Florece; PMAJ RAMON CZAR D SOLAS; PMSg Jay G Ramos; PSSg Anthony R Singson; PMAJ JERALD JOHN B VILLAFUERTE; and PSSg Jonathan B Brizuela for their sterling performance which contributed in the realization of the objectives of EO No. 70, PNP’s campaign against loose firearms: LOI “Kontra-Boga” and anti-illegal drugs campaign plan-project: “Double Barrel Reloaded.”
Medalya ng Papuri was awarded to Pat Dennis S Balderama and PCpl Gerald D Desdir for their act of honesty for returning a lost smartphone on June 9, 2021 at Brgy Anislag, Daraga, Albay and for providing first aid to the driver involved in a vehicular accident that suffered injury on June 12, 2021, respectively.
On the other hand, Medalya ng Ugnayang Pampulisya was given to PCpl Christopher V Boado and Pat Bei-Jay N Bautista participating in the planting of rice for a day at Brgy. Benticayan, Baras, Catanduanes. Such effort served as an effective avenue in fostering police-community partnership and served as an opportunity for the members of the community to demonstrate their fervent commitment to be in union with the community thus, enhancing the image of the PNP as a whole.
During the activity, PRO5 Life Coaches were also given a Certificate of Recognition for their dynamic and steadfast commitment in strengthening the Christian faith of the Kasurog cops. The recipient of the certificates was Rev. Jose M. Amaranto; Sis Michelle D. Buen; Bro. Jose Crisvera A. De Vera; Rev. Ferdinand O. Maraño; Rev. Randy M. Yanohon; and Rev. Annie A Millares.
