PNP Bicol Braced for UNDAS 2018 Featured

More than a week before the celebrations of UNDAS, numerous cemeteries in the Bicol is now preparing for the annual event. In line with this, Bicol PNP have been placed under heightened alert for the expected influx of people paying respects to their departed loved ones in cemeteries during the entire celebrations of All Souls’ Day and All Saints’ Day. Heightened alert will be upgraded to full alert status two (2) days before the celebrations.


PCSUPT ATTY. ARNEL B ESCOBAL, RD PRO5 directed its Provincial and City Directors down to City and Municipal Police Stations to maximize its PNP personnel to provide maximum security to all the cemeteries in their respective area of responsibility. He further reminded all PNP units to stay on alert, be vigilant and take precautionary measures against domestic threat groups and other lawless elements that may take advantage of the event. No leave is allowed at this time for all the PNP personnel and for those who already filed their leave they will be recalled to render duties for safeguarding the community. Only maternity, paternity and sick leave will be entertained by this time, he said.

PRO5 will also deploy its PNP personnel as augmentation force in the city and municipal police stations for the maintenance of peace and security. While people are celebrating the All Souls’ Day and All Saints ’ Day from October 30 to November 3, 2018, the police  will there to perform their mandated duties and obligations.  Police and motorist assistance desks will be establish in the area of convergence such as cemeteries, churches, sea ports, terminals, airports, and main thoroughfares.  Information Education Campaign (IEC) Materials on crime prevention will also be distributed for public awareness.   

General Atty. Escobal advise and inform the public that safety should not only be in cemeteries, but also in their home especially when they leave. Remember that crimes exist everywhere. No one knows when will be the perpetrator attack, personal security must always be observed, let us always be safe”, he added.  He likewise appeals to the community for their support and active involvement by providing timely and accurate information’s by reporting through PNP Social Media Account (KASUROG FB Account), Twitter Account (@ PRO5 React), call or txt CRMC Hotline No. 0917-309-7862 or to the nearest police stations.
