In the aim to continuously assist our fellow Bicolanos highly distressed by the repercussions of the heavy rains, strong winds and floods caused by the recent typhoons in the region, Police Regional Office 5, headed by PBGEN BARTOLOME R BUSTAMANTE, RD, once again initiated a relief operation benefiting 170 job order personnel of Bicol University on November 18, 2020 held at BUCSSP Arcilla Hall, Daraga Albay.
PBGEN BART R BUSTAMANTE, RD, PRO5 spearheaded the distribution of relief items at Naga City particularly the residents of Brgy. Cararayan and Brgy Calauag on November 15, 2020.
The said areas were one of the flooded barangays in the aforementioned province due to the heavy-rains brought by the recent calamities. Present also during the activity is Hon. Nelson S. Legacion, Mayor of Naga City.
Police Regional Office 5 under the astute leadership of PBGEN BART R BUSTAMANTE, RD, together with the Command Group, Directorial Staff and other personnel joined the virtual Flag Raising Ceremony at the National Headquarters with the newly installed PNP Chief, PGEN DEBOLD M SINAS via zoom application on November 16, 2020.
Police Regional Office 5 in collaboration with Police Regional Office 8 was able to reach out to 500 families in Tabaco City by giving away assorted relief items on November 14, 2020.
The said activity aims to provide assistance to the communities who were severely affected by the recent typhoons in the region.

The said activity benefited a total of 500 residents from Brgy Coro-coro; Brgy. Belen; Brgy Gajo; Brgy Libjo; and Brgy Cararayan all in the Municipality of Tiwi, Albay.
PRO5 Red Team led by PCOL DAVID K PEREDO JR, DRDO, PRO5 together with the ROMD personnel conducted Red Teaming Operation and inspection of SAR BOX/equipment at PS 3, PS4 and PS 6 of Naga City Police Office on November 13, 2020.
PCOL DAVID K PEREDO JR, DRDO, PRO5 attended the NCPO OC Meeting on Anti-Illegal Drugs and E-MPO after the conduct of Red Teaming Operation at NCPO on November 13, 2020.
On November 13, 2020, PRO5 personnel with RD, PBGEN BART BUSTAMANTE, held a medical mission and relief operations for families in Brgy. Matanag, Legazpi City who were affected by the recent typhoons that devastated much of the Bicol region.
PBGEN BART BUSTAMANTE, RD, PRO5 conducted inspection of the facilities of Albay Police Provincial Office along Pio Duran Road, Ligao, Albay on November 12, 2020. This is to assess the extent of damage caused by the recent typhoon in Albay.

PRO9 TO PRO5: “Tabang para sa amoang mga Kaigsuon namong mga Bicolano! Dungan dungan kitang Tanan!”
Police Regional Office 9 headed by PBGEN JESUS D CAMBAY JR, Regional Director and the people of Zamboanga Peninsula generously provided PRO5 relief assistance for the affected families in the region due to the Super Typhoon “Rolly”.
PBGEN BART R BUSTAMANTE, Regional Director of PRO5 and the entire Kasurog Cops expressed their most profound gratitude to the personnel of PRO9, for the act of benevolence that shall help the people of Bicol as they renew their strength and again stand in faith after the destructive effects of the calamity.
Ang kapulisan ng Bicol katuwang ang Police Regional Office 7 ay muling namahagi ng relief goods sa Barangay Bagumbayan Sur, Naga City noong ika-10 ng Nobyembre na sya namang tinggap ni Hon. Recardito Veluz, Punong Barangay ng nasabing lugar.
Patuloy pa rin ang pagiral ang modern-day“bayanihan at barangayan” sa panahon ng sakuna sa pamamagitan ng pagpapaabot ng tulong at suporta sa Bicolandia mula sa mga karatig nitong rehiyon.
Muling nakatanggap ang Police Regional Office 5 sa pangunguna ni PBGEN BART R BUSTAMANTE, RD ng mga relief items at ibang pang mga essential goods mula sa Police Regional Office 2 sa pamumuno ni PBGEN CRIZALDO O NIEVES, RD at mamamayan mula sa Cagayan Valley.
Ang mga nasabing donasyon ay ipapamahagi sa iba’t-ibang munisipalidad ng rehiyon na higit naapektuhan sa pananalanta ng bagyong “Rolly”. Ito rin ay magsisilbing panimula at motibasyon sa mga biktima ng bagyo upang magpatuloy sa buhay at wag mawalan ng pag asa sapagkat mayroong mga taong nakahandang tumulong at umagapay sa kanila upang malagpasan ang dadok na ito.
