In commemoration of the birth of the Christ Jesus and with the purpose of instilling teamwork, Police Regional Office 5 launches its annual Belen Making contest. Posted is another traditional Filipino Christmas symbol, it is a crèche or tableau representing the Nativity scene. It depicts the infant Jesus Christ in the manger, surrounded by the Virgin Mary, St. Joseph, the shepherds, their flock and some stable animals and angels. Police Regional Office 5 takes its part in inculcating transparency and accountability in the PNP organization through the implementation of PNP Memorandum Circular No. 2018-038 re Implementation of the People’s Freedom of Information (FOI) Manual.

The Philippine National Police continue to bolster its thrust on active community-oriented policing as it believes that peace and order is a shared responsibility of the police and the community. In order to maintain peace and security, streaming a strong relationship is the key factor for the community relies upon the police to serve and protect, and likewise the police relies on the community for its support and cooperation in order to effectively carry out its mandate.
