PNP BICOL NAMAHAGI NG RECHARGEABLE LAMPS SA TIWI ALBAY
Muling nag paabot ng tulong ang Kapulisan ng Bicol sa pamumuno ni PBGEN BART R BUSTAMANTE, RD, PRO5 sa mga residente ng Tiwi, Albay sa pamamagitan ng pamamahagi ng 500 pieces rechargeable lamps na syang magsisilbing ilaw at liwanag habang ang buong munisipalidad ay wala paring suplay ng kuryente dulot ng mga nagdaang bagyo noong ika-7 ng Disyembre sa Tiwi Central School, Tiwi, Albay.
Ang mga nasabing rechargeable lamps ay nagmula sa Filipino-India Commerce and Welfare Society, Incorporated na pinamumunuon ng mag asawang Mr. James and Bianca Kumar.
“Kami po sa hanay ng pulisya ay laging nakahandang umalalay at mag abot ng tulong sa abot ng aming makakaya. At nagpapasalamat kami na marami pa rin ang may mabuti ring kalooban na tumutulong sa ating mga gawain. Kaya naman po sa kabila ng pagkawasak at masamang epekto ng bawat kalamidad na ating kinakaharap ay wag po tayong mawawalan ng pag-asa. Patuloy po tayong magpakatatag di lamang para sa ating mga sarili kundi para sa ating mga pamilya at mahal sa buhay. Kami po ang inyong PNP. Kasama ninyo sa sabay sabay nating pagsisimulang muli at pagbangon”, RD BUSTAMANTE.
MONDAY FLAG RAISING CEREMONY (December 7, 2020)
RET JUDGE ARNULFO CABREDO, Chairman, Regional Advisory Council for Police Transformation Development (RACPTD)-PRO5 graced the traditional Monday flag raising ceremony as the Resource Speaker on December 7, 2020.
Highlights of the activity are the oath-taking ceremony of the newly promoted/transferred Non-Uniformed Personnel. The promoted NUPs were NUP Azor B Banania as Administrative Assistant III; NUP Richelle B Cortes as Fingerprint Examiner II; NUP Clarisse Panganiban as Admin Aide VI. On the other hand, the transferred NUPs were NUP Anna Margarita B Bayonito; NUP Irene Madrid; and NUP Eden Herrera.
Judge Cabredo who was assisted by PBGEN BART BUSTAMANTE, RD PRO5 and the Command Group also accorded awards and recognition to deserving PNP personnel for their contributions and untiring efforts that significantly aided the organization in realizing its mandates.
Medalya ng kasanayan was awarded to PCOL Raul L Bargamento; PMAJ ALVIN SY DE GUZMAN; PMAJ ALVIN SY DE GUZMAN; PMAJ ROSELEEN P VASQUEZ; PSMS MARLON N GUIBILONDO AND NUP JOCELYN T ACUÑA as members of the Bids and awards committee.
Additionally, Medalya ng Kagaling was conferred to PCPL JERALD JOHN B VILLAFUERTE, Pssg Eduardo LLorera and PCpl Rañon all members of Albay PPO. The same award was bestowed to PLT EDWIN C JAVAR and PSMS Marion Arminio A Valera both of 2nd Sorsogon Provincial Mobile Force Company.
A plaque of Appreciation was also given to the Resource Speaker, Ret. Judge Cabredo in grateful recognition of his unwavering and whole hearted support for sharing his precious time and words of wisdom during the activity.
Ceremonial Lighting of Christmas Lanterns & Christmas Lights
In the advent of the Yuletide Season, PBGEN BART R BUSTAMANTE, RD, PRO5 together with the Command Group graced the annual lighting of Christmas Lanterns and Christmas Lights inside Camp Ola on December 3, 2020.
In a message given by RD BUSTAMANTE, he acknowledged the personnel of this unit for their efforts and contributions in fulfilment of the organization’s mandates. “I am personally thankful and truly grateful that I am able to work with dedicated and committed personnel who have given more of themselves in answering the call to serve. PRO5 have performed well in many areas especially in responding to the recent calamity. And this is not due to me or to our command group alone but it is due to our collective effort – all of us who have been working tirelessly to perform our duties and responsibilities to the best of our capabilities and even beyond. Again, thank you all very much!”

PRO5 welcomes 187 SAR contingents deployed in Catanduanes
After almost one month deployed in the province of Catanduanes to help in the road clearing, clean-up and rescue operations, the 187 Search and Rescue Contingent including the SAF were welcomed by PBGEN BART BUSTAMANTE, RD, PRO5 as they formally go back to their respective units on December 2, 2020 held in front of the PRO5 Grandstand, Camp BGen Simeon A Ola, Legazpi City.
The troops were also recognized for their selfless contributions and commitment in extending assistance to the families who were devastated by the effects of the recent calamities.
In a message given by RD BUSTAMANTE thank the contingents for becoming instruments in lifting the spirits and giving hope to the Catandungans;
“And I wish to thank you for demonstrating dedication, commitment, and genuine concern to the people of the communities you were deployed in. Indeed, you have set an example to many of our fellow police officers. More than that however, it is my sincerest hope that our simple acts would be like the tiny pebble, which no matter how small and seemingly insignificant, creates ripples in the vastness of the pond.”
PRO5 shall continue to extend help in the province by sending assorted relief items and other basic needs for the victims.
It shall also volt-in to ensure that no family will be left behind as they rebuild their homes and create a sturdy foundation in facing the future.
BLESSING AND INAUGURATION OF THE NEWLY CONSTRUCTED DONSOL MPS
PBGEN BART R BUSTMANTE, Regional Director, PRO5 together with Municipal Government of Donsol led by the Honorable Josephine A Cruz graced the blessing and inauguration of the newly constructed police station building of Donsol Municipal Police Station on December 2, 2020.
The said police station building is symbolic of the PNP’s unwavering commitment to take active part in the goal of making the town a better place for its people to live, work, and do business.
In a message given by RD BUSTAMANTE, he acknowledged the unwavering support and the participation of the community and local government unit of Donsol in the realization of the PNP’s goal of making the municipality and the Bicol region in general peaceful, orderly, and safe.

MASS SURRENDER OF THE MEMBERS OF THE CTGs
PGEN DEBOLD MENORIAS SINAS attended the presentation of the 47 former rebels that returned to the fold of the law as well as the assorted firearms recovered from the anti-insurgency operations conducted by this unit as part of the activities during his command visit in PRO5 on November 26, 2020.
One of the former rebels also gave testimonies outlining the sufferings and cruelty they experienced in the hands to the CPP-NPA. On the same event, they also signed the manifesto and burned the effigy which proves their genuine act to embrace the government’s plans and programs.
PGEN SINAS assisted by PBGEN BUSTAMANTE also gave cash assistance amounting to Php 10,000.00 to the former rebels to help them as the start a new chapter of their lives away from fear and inhumanity.
GROUND BREAKING CEREMONY
PGEN DEBOLD M SINAS, CPNP together with PBGEN BARTOLOME R BUSTAMANTE, RD, PRO5 and the Command Group graced the ground-breaking ceremony of the several facilities intended to bolster the administrative and operational functions of PRO5 during his command visit on November 26, 2020.
The facility includes the PRO5 Multi-Purpose Command Court; Regional Crime Laboratory Office; LAKAN-Multi-Purpose Hall; Kasurog Motorpool; and the Regional Health Services 5 Building.

BLESSING AND TURN-OVER OF 5 UNITS OF PATROL JEEP
PGEN DEBOLD MENORIAS SINAS , C,PNP assisted by PBGEN BART R BUSTAMANTE, RD PRO5 and the Command Group, led the blessing and turn-over of the 5 units PNP Patrol Jeep which was duly received by the Chiefs of Police of Basud MPS and Vinzons MPS both in Camarines Norte PPO; Aroroy MPS in Masbate PPO; and Barcelona MPS and Sta. Magdalena MPS of Sorsogon PPO on November 26, 2020.
Present during the event are the Mayors of the respective municipalities. The said vehicles shall boost the move capabilities of the aforementioned stations thus enabling them to perform their duties more effectively and efficiently.
